Developers of MMORPG's are getting creative about what to do with players who abuse the system. As a temporary ban, in Roma Victor, misbehaving players will be crucified, while in Second Life, they'll be send to a creepy corn field with a slow-moving tractor and a television that only gets one channel (***edit*** i think this corn field idea would be better if it were a combination Jerome Bixby and Children of the Corn homage, rather than just the former).

I wonder where we could send annoying or abusing lj-ers? For instance, people who constantly comment snottily and anonymously on other people's posts, or who don't use lj-cut. Maybe they'd have to go to part of lj only accessable with lynx...

Ooooh! Oooh!

similar to lynx idea, but set up a particular style sheet that removes all formatting, including <br> tags. No newlines, and strip out all img tags etc.

Of course, my fun one was when (on another journal) someone left an incredibly not-nice message and thanks to a nice convergence of circumstances I could pin them down to the username in questions :) (Aren't referrer logs great?)
