Damn. That would have been fun if i wasn't worried about meghanh's kitty out in the cold, wet, pointy world.

He wanted out again almost right away! Jerk.

The funniest part is that five people got soaked to the skin looking for him, and he was bone dry and completely casual about the whole thing.

This is why if an animal is out when something like this happens, I don't worry much. Animls are generally smart enough to stay out of the rain.

Yeah, they always are, but it doesn't make it any less nerve-wracking when it happens, particularly with heavy hail. Obviously my cat is a hell of a lot smarter than the people looking for him!

It was cool!

However, trying to drive across town directly after was phenomenal (in a not necessarily good way). I have never, ever seen so much flooding, hydroplaned cars, floods and street disasters as I did on the roads today. It was surreal and very un-desertlike.

There was a two-inch pile of hailstones in one spot, so I ate two. They taste exactly like snow.
