The clean version.

(Link)
1.) From whence comes "ferrous oxide" as a handle?
2.) Have you ever broken a bone? Was it someone else's?
3.) What's that scar from?
4.) Why the no-picture policy?
5.) If you were going to cook me a special dinner, what would it be?

(and ask me stuff too!)

1) From DefCon 2000 by agreement of all who traveled there with me. It seemed to fit. I like oxidized things and i'm into black. It worked. ;)

2) Hah. I'm fairly sure i haven't broken anyone else's bones. I did fracture my wrist as a kid (in three places) when i fell off a bike because i was being chased by a jerk in a motorized go-cart and broke the cup-and-ball joint in my left finger a few years ago when a horse kicked me (and i will never be able to get married, as i can't wear a ring....or something ;P)
3) You will have to be more specific. Which scar? If you mean the one on my face, ask The Drummer.
4) I photograph abysmally. And it just creeps me out. I want evidence recorded of who i am, not what i look like.
5) Hrm...chicken paprikash over rice with some veggie of your choice on the side. And if you were really lucky, i'd deign to make you my special birthday cake.

1) I'm not sure i have a lot of secret anythings. I'm a sucker for bad movies, salty things, and anything that involves being submerged in water.
2) Heh. Still working those out. The whole bit where all of my dreams and what i've been working toward since before i can remember has gone explodey has mucked with that some. I desire to be happy. I want a place with a few chickens and a goat. And a puppy. Definitely a puppy.
3) Umbrellas and losing my mental faculties.
4) See #2. But, in general, writing, photographs, films, and good music.
5) Well, i'd have to actually meet you in person first! ;P Also, i think my boyfriend might take offense if i got married before moving to live with him...just sayin'...

1. What is the best form of government?
2. Under what conditions can war be morally justified?
3. Who would win in a battle between a leviathan and a kraken?
4. What is art?
5. SAzxd? (Squidly asked that last one-- I think he meant "will digital computers ever achieve consciousness?")

You know what no one likes? A smartass!

Fine.

1) Anarchy, duh.
2) Erm...never. Have you met me?
3) That's a tough one, but since there's Kraken brand rum...i'm going with the kraken.
4) I hate you. Please to be taking this question up with someone who wasn't scarred by awful collage "art" as a college student.
5) Heh. Yes, if StupidFilter has anything to say about it. Or, alternatively, "awwww...who's a squishy gray kitten head?"

ask me to ask you them!

oh wait I guess you just did. But did I ask for that?

I guess I did by friending you and reading your journal.

Okey, here goes:

1) If you had to recommend 3 books (to read for enjoyment) to a stranger, what would you recommend?
2) Do you name inanimate objects (other than computers and cars)?
3) How old were you when you learned how to horseback ride?
4) What is your favorite food?
5) What's your happiest olfactory-triggered memory? And what is the scent that induces it? (I'm really interested in memories that are spontaneously activated by scent).

1) Egads. I don't know what you like to read. Earth, by David Brin; The Third Policeman, by Flann O'Brien; Name of the Wind, by Pat Rothfuss.
2) Occasionally. I name my musical equipment.
3) I think i started when i was about 8. I don't really remember, as my memory pre-middle school is pretty fuzzy.
4) Steamed blue crab.
5) This one is wicked hard. I'm scent-oriented. I had a plan to answer this, but i think i requires its own post.

Great answers! I'm looking forward to your scent-oriented post (no hurry, obviously. It's not like this is homework!). :)

I also wanted to let you know that a parcel full of awesome arrived at my house yesterday. :D

Have I told you "THANK YOU!!!!" (about a million times)? If not, "Thank you!!!!" :D :D :D

It's a really great book. I spent last evening reading it, instead of grading student projects. I think it was good for my sanity. ;)

Yay. And, to be fair, you should really be thanking wannabegamedev. He's the one that remembered that you were looking for the books and to ask you about them. I'm just the facilitator ;)
