Today, the operative question is whether everyone i've dealt with in the past few hours is a bitch or a ho. Some of both is, i expect, the answer. Why is dealing with any sort of bureaucracy so painful? I think my soul has been permanently damaged by talking to Wells Fargo.
Screw you, Firefox 2.0, for not working correctly and breaking all of my extensions--i needed those, and you could have warned me. A friendly "hey, if you have 20 open tabs that Session Saver is holding for you, you might want to just go ahead and back them up, mkay, because they're going to poof once you install me," would have been nice. But thank you Interweb and Nightly Tester Tools for making Firefox all work again. Painstaking 'net research and usability saved. And for the record, Firefox, you've screwed the pooch. No one is ever likely to refer to extensions as "add-ons," we're all well used to our common parlance by now, and "add-ons" just sounds like something you'd choose from a your-gimmicky-restaurant menu. Much like the phenomenons of "Expo New Mexico," "Central New Mexico Community College," "Ronald Regan Washington National Airport," and the "Verizon Center," i predict that everyone will be calling extensions by their true and proper name for years after the exec who decided "add-ons" was catchy does a face/palm. Please to be putting it back now.
